HIPP is a Medicaid program
that pays the cost of insurance premiums, co-insurance, deductibles, and other
cost sharing. HIPP will reimburse
the health-insurance premiums of payroll deduction sfor
Medicaid-eligible persons, but only when Medicaid determines it would be cost
effective. The advantage of this
program is that members of your family who are not eligible for Medicaid will be
covered under your private health insurance plan.
